A hand on the tiller another to scull, my arse in the bilges plugging the hull It was then that I thought my round was done when the captain----shouted---“More Rum” 'Twas around six bells that the wind died down, and lucky it did for we’d all have drowned The crew were asleep to the captain’s snore, with the rum slopping round on the floor Twenty men still lost at sea, All of them drunk except for me But 'twas I who had to brave the storm, With nothing inside to keep me warm

The inspiration for the track came from a single verse and chorus from the 1985 'garfield halloween adventure'...music & lyrics for that written by Ed Bogas & Desiree Goyette. the original and complete lyrics are:

"Sixty men all lost at sea, all of 'em drunk except for me.
'Twas I who had to face the storm, with nothin' inside to keep my warm. Yo, ho, ho, ho! Over the raging sea we go!
Yo, ho, ho, ho! Wherever the four winds blow! Hey!"

From these brief beginnings The Chaunters created the song. They hope you enjoy it as much as they did making it.
